Lihue is the County seat of the island of Kauai and is home to our main airport and Nawiliwili Harbor, the island’s major commercial shipping center and cruise ship port. Popular places include Kalapaki Beach, the Huleia River, Menehue Fish Ponds, Kilohana historic estate, and the Kauai Museum. Kauai’s largest shopping mall, Kukui Grove Center, and our Community College are located in Lihue as well. There are a variety of older plantation neighborhoods, resort condos, and newer planned communities to choose from in the Lihue area.
